Why?

Why do angst and pain
largely works of art inspire?

Works worth working on!

Why do sunshine and smiles
no artist’s brush or pencil fire?

Please let me see
a worthy wordplay
bellowing and echoing
a joyful day.

Life is pain. Anyone who says otherwise is trying to sell you something.

True! We are born
crying.
But joy makes pain worth
living.
Else, we are just
dying.

Smile, please!

A. I cant believe you are saying this!!!!:)
B. Um, lots of happy people write happy verse/prose/nonsense etc
C. Love, is the most written about topic. True, lots of it is unrequited, bitter, painful etc. but lots of it is very fine, joyous stuff.

Spread your joy :)

I guess I just had a phase where I happened to have read painful work continuously.
I know there is a lot of joyful work out there.
This was just a release of what I felt in the moment.
:)

True, Love is the most written about topic.
Interesting, however, that if most people were to be honest about it, they would not really be able to define/articulate it.
Isn't it?

Balance! You're right.
It is quite difficult to attain in, pretty much, any aspect of life.

You are right! So, I have been trying to tell myself that the way to the right balance is a journey, not a destination ... i dont like middle paths so i touch every extreme like a swinging balance :D

'Journeys, rather than destinations' is something I, too, believe in.

However, I've found that the choice between the safe middle and lively extremes is usually dependant on a person's nature. And trying to do the opposite of something ingrained, is quite tough!

Maybe tis the pain which makes the joy worth living.

I'm sorry if my story about Jack was one that caused angst.

Life should be savored both slowly sipped and swallowed whole.
